As we emerge from COVID-19 we have established the Levelling Up Goals with input from businesses, universities, civil society, policymakers and regulators. The Goals are setting a new standard for the social aspect of ESG.

Led by Rt Hon Justine Greening, the Goals use the same framework of the UN SDGs, applied to the very different Levelling Up challenges facing the UK.

As COVID-19 has accelerated existing trends around responsible business and widened society's expectations, the most committed leaders that signed up to the Social Mobility Pledge campaign have gone on to play a key role in the Purpose Coalition, determined to plot a new course and set new standards. The Levelling Up Goals are the first major piece of work from the Coalition made up of the UK's leading purpose-led policymakers, business leaders and university vice-chancellors.
